YEAR 5 VISIT TO CASTELLÓN AIRPORT AND VORAMAR HOTEL

On Thursday 14th February the year 5 children went on a trip to Castellón Airport and the Voramar Hotel. Before the trip, they wrote leaflets on the computers giving information about some of the attractions in the area of Castellón. At the airport they met a flight from London Stansted and gave out their leaflets to the arriving passengers.
At the airport the children also visited the fire station and learned about the job of the firefighters. They watched the firefighters squirting water through the hoses on the fire engine. They also saw two birds of prey which are used to scare birds away and prevent bird strikes.
After lunch the children visited the Voramar Hotel to learn about its history. Finally they went for a stroll in front of the Villas. It was a great day. Some of the passengers wrote an email to the school saying how polite and friendly the children were!
